Welcome to Independent Gems! This is a new adventure for me; It has been hard work, with many challenges. However, I am enjoying the ride😊

My pieces are for that strong, independent thinking, confident individual, who is unafraid to be different or to "stand against the grain". My jewelry can be worn with jeans & t-shirts, or to add a little flair to a business/ casual ensemble. 

While I have always "marched to the beat of my own drums", one of my motto's has always been, "Don't let the clothes wear you, you wear the clothes". In essence  this means, material things do not make you who you are; your confidence, character, and integrity defines who you are. I am happy to be a part of inspiring individuals to feel comfortable in their own skin, and to not allow society to determine your style, because in a world where everyone wants to follow after the next person, "Keeping up with the Jones'", it is not my desire. It just so happens that I am literally a Jones, so I don't need to "keep up" with anyone, and it is my hope that you and I have that thought process in common.

I enjoy frugality, and I hope you too can enjoy and appreciate the simplicity of a bracelet, etc., to dress up your style, while inspiring confidence in yourself, or to give a gift to someone who adds meaning to your life, because after all, these pieces are handmade with love ❤️
